I believe that being able to stay in her own home, with control over how she lives her life, is vitally important for Caroline’s wellbeing.

Her care assistant Veronica is very bubbly, a real character, and Caroline has always had a good sense of humour too. In the middle of Caroline’s confusion and frustration Veronica can make her laugh and lighten the mood and she is always finding ways to make Caroline bright again.

Our Bluecrest care workers were unfailingly attentive, compassionate and gentle. Mum really felt that she received a personal service. I truly do not know what I would have done without your caring support and assistance and wish you all the best for the future.

My husband was a fit man. He was a field hockey player who competed at the 1964 summer Olympics and played hockey all his life. It was while he was playing that he noticed his arms and hands becoming weaker. John was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at the age of 77 and died five years later.
